Sent the letter back as RTS, address unknown.

The letter was addressed to a guy who upon my research, was the previous owner of my box and is a multimillionaire...it seemed so real because the stamps are south African, it came by airmail and the recipient was existent only that he wasn't the current owner of the box...i am.What makes me wonder is how the mastermind was able to get the details and spend money on sending mail to a foreign country. The signature is written in pen which proves its not a photocopy and that it was signed by someone...i just wonder who can risk posting mail and using money with no guarantee of return.

They are just fishing to see if they can hook one fool and clean his/her account. 419 scam has all these if you have the time to browse the correspondences!

They are in business and reaping great untaxed gains from greedy idiots. They have the time and resources to do just that.

Mutaga, have you just joined the internet? This con is such old news!! Old folks in US and Europe paid dearly for responding to this crap. Anytime you get these near fantastic offers, please always google up the stuff. Chances are that someone is licking their wounds after losing all their life savings.

I assure you its a scam, if you want to know how they do it, i recomend this book; 'I do not come to you by chance' by a Nigerian lady called Adoahi Tricia Nwaubani. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

It is not a scam. I once got one too and it made me a multimillionaire (in my mind of course). Further confirmation is the fact that the previous owner of the box is a multimillionaire. That is how he made is money. The problem with people in Wazua is that they envy you and wish they were in your position and because they are not they do not want you to make money.

LOL We have scammers here too?? damn!
silly yahoo yahoo boys doing their usual 419 thing.

You got the letter, raise alarm then somebody else posts to confirm its real and that you need to believe it?
This sounds all too familiar. What is soo unique with a genuine stamp or sending foreign handwritten mail to a real address? Yahoo yahoo boys scam embassies cz they have perfected their work.
But rem. when the deal is too good think twice.

Wait till you are asked to deposit something,in order for a deal to go through or surrender ur details.Their strategically placed networks will answer and reply accordingly.
Dont be fooled.

Hahaahaha very funny this
please if you are interested in this transaction, all I want you
to do is to send me your Private Mobile Phone and Fax Numbers for Easy
Communication including your personal Bank Account Details, where this
money will be transfer (Your Bank Name, Bank Address, Account Number,
Account Holder's Name, Bank Branch, Identity Number, Home and email
Address.

Note: Please reply your mail to my private email
box(ed.ngoma@webmail.co.za) for your urgent respond
Best regards,

YAHOO YAHOO ALERT. Private mail and poor english.
What kind of makoko or kamiti letter is this, written in pathetic format?

I can guarantee you the sender is not anywhere close to South Africa but West Af. or a western based there.
