Who are you screaming at?

NIC is also issuing a bonus share in order to convert retained earnings into capital and is issuing rights to raise funds for expansion to Uganda. So, the 6.72 will largely be spent on the expansion project. Did you know the DPS is .25 or 25 cents tu!

@ Preview, more +ve vibes for you...

Bank of Uganda on February 15 and March 22, 2012, licenced NIC Bank from Kenya and the Bank of India, respectively to commence retail banking business in the country.

Fruitful hunting.

Being licensed to operate in a new jurisdiction is not the whole story. You have to look at the banks ability to hack new markets. e.g Equity appears to have totally failed in UG market but did very well in SS. KCB subsidiary in UG broke even after 6 years. How has NIC performed in TZ?

Am not too excited about NIC prospects in UG given their target market and business model in Kenya- MEDIUM TO High net worth customers are hard to come by in UG

There is an element of dilution on this stock..if you are patient...you will get in at a discount ex bonus or cum rights.

@the deal ain't that market timing? Why not buy now if the price is right.

No its called buying lower, you will feel bad even if you bought at the right price if a stock falls 20%, the moment you feel bad you will start doubting yourself smile

We are in a Bull market, even Unga rallied 20% last week...Eveready is among the top gainers today...to raise Sh2bn...NIC will have to issue more than 100mn shares...

NIC Bank Ltd., (NICB) a Kenyan lender, jumped to a two-week high after an independent analyst recommended buying the shares.
The stock climbed 0.7 percent to 35 shillings by the end of trading in Nairobi, the highest close since May 23. The volume of shares traded was more than 20 times the three-month average, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
NIC trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 5.21 compared with peers such as Diamond Trust Bank Kenya (DTKL) Ltd., which has a ratio of 7.22, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The bank was rated buy with a target price of 47 shillings on June 4 by Davis Mika, a Nairobi-based independent analyst.
“The stock is trading on very low valuation,” Mika said in a phone interview today. “It is cheap compared to its peers and investors should get the stock at the moment.”

seems @deal has put his doubts aside and made up his mind on NIC...Kudos you are the real deal if you can move the market
