@kourage, have been considering purchasing a two-bed apartment at Migaa but as an investment for rental purposes. Is this a good idea and when will they be completed?

@xtina; For rental purposes, currently no. But for investment purposes, i would encourage you to take. Construction work started two weeks ago and i can assure you by the time phase one is over, the units will be going for more than 10m. Phase 1 will be complete around March 2013. There are other facilities coming up within Migaa that will support rental business later. Already, there some UK doctors who will be breaking the ground for an ultra modern hospital in Migaa, complete with a helipad, sometimes in July or thereabouts. Can give me your email i post more information to you.

Are you kidding me??? Who would want to do that? Buy an apartment off you wife so that the both of you can [continue to] live there? Is that a joke? Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@Lolest, yes you can speculate. Given the size of the project (774 acres), it will take three to five years before it is fully built. If you invest for rental purposes, in the short run you may be frustrated but in the long run it will pay off handsomely. From an insider perspective, this is the time to buy. @Frangipani, i have sent some information to your email.

@xtina Have you checked the property classifieds for the current properties on sale in the market? You can try noticeboard.co.ke, dealfish, villacare, etc

I don't understand whats wrong with a man moving into a bigger more spacious dwelling owned by the wife. Who wants to be proud in a cave in this day and age. "The purpose of bureaucracy is to compensate for incompetence and lack of discipline." James Collins

How much were they going for? xtina, have you checked out some apartments on Karen - Dagoretti road near the by-pass? I think the location is great, wonder if the apartments are too. Link below. LINK BBI will solve it :)

I am absolutely fine with moving in with a woman to their apartment and I don't have a problem with the woman's wealth my problem start when I am deprived of my hard earned freedoms. So before you move in with a woman, to their house understand that she will always own that house. Take for instance me, Mr Drunkard, my apartment is alway a mess and I have notice that all the women I bring in do not mind initially infact they find it manly but wait until the relationship starts and they gain more leverage, they start complaining about small stuff and when you go to their places suddenly they want you to place everything in a certain way unlike before when you could just walk in and drop your shoe one facing east the other north. Having said that, which man would want to live through all the nagging especially when the sentence can possibily end with "my house"? I know I have said before that marriage is a worthless institution but I also respect the decisions people make and I also think everyone has a right to marry anyone including gay people but marriage sucks however you wanna look at now add the fact that you're in her house and possibly your mother in-law and all her relative will always know that you're been fed by her, no matter how big your wallet will be her people will think she is taking care of you! dont get me wrong I love women and I will always be more than willing to live with a woman but without being "married" I like the reciever swaption kind of a deal, I get a fixed while paying floating, how is that for a relationship!? I want to be able to walk out anytime when I feel the opportunity cost of my time in not optimal.

Hi all, Thank you all for your responses, I have been out for some time, hence my silence. After much consultations and prayers, I decided to use the registered property services. I have been practically trolling through their websites the past three months looking for something that would have fit my specifications and budget. I have three choices, the first one is listed in Hass Consult:the Casa Mia. The other is Villa Care; I have identified 2 property I might purchase. I have made plans to visit the 3 choices before I decide on which one to buy. On the issue of marriage, I talked to my pastor and his advice was to follow my own heart. His take was that I should make plans which are good to me for now, then worry about living plans when I'm actually married. I would have loved to hear some ladies' experience on this living arrangements issue. Hopefully by November I shall give myself a birthday present of a home

I'm equally worried when one consults a pastor but since I do not know who your pastor is I rest my case. Concerning the living arrangement, I thought the men would be the best people to answer the question, after all your future man will think more or less like them. unless you wish to pull a "super" man. wishing you well, as you make the birthday present a reality.
