My chama wants to invest in buying a property in Isinya and we would need to get a mortgage from the bank. Which bank could offer the best rate at affordable repayment terms?

Currently Stanchart tops them all at 11 percent. Very attractive.

Very attractive until you find out what * means!
I got info from an insider that for the 10.9% mortgage:
-You need to move your salary account to them
-Need to apply for Gold or Platinum credit card (3.5% interest per month,6K maintenance charge per year)
-Need to utilize the credit card limit lest they revert loan to old rates.
-Interest is variable & pegged on KBBR rate hence variable.
Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.
