It's Olympia. Don't ask why. Just shake your head.

@q this is the stock that has continously lost money for people from highs of 24 just 5 years ago. No splits, no dividends, no bonuses. Same class as paka.

Swali tu:

Is it necessary for a company as small as Olympia to bank with as many as 7 local banks?

Even in Botswana they have 3.

Sina ubaya. Ni kuuliza tu...

Maybe the directors are laundering money from their side activities. Those investments in SA and Botswana could be fronts as they never make money anyway... Just speculating

According to this RINK, Paul W Ndung'u had 150k shares held by his Mobicom Ltd as at 28th Feb 2011 [last year]. These are worth only half a million shillings at today's prices!

Looking at the same document, you will find that even though he was listed as a director he never attended any board meeting in the 2010/11 FY.

The OCHL website also lists him as a director HERE

CONCLUSION:

Don't rely too much on his presence in this poorly performing company. He has too little to lose to be bothered with it's performance.

ADDENDUM:
to add to the confusion; the website lists him as the second largest shareholder with 4,870,000 shares held directly as at 28th Feb 2012! RINK Leaves you wondering what the correct position is.

But goes to show how useless this company is!

Also add shares that are held by Joel Kibe. Ndungu gave up on the lousy firm run by a lousy CEO & useless chairman.

Suppose you have 35k to invest; would you buy 10k shares of SCOM or 10k shares of OCHL?

one year down the line.... we will be here to confirm who bet right - OCH if you are plain lucky to get a hold of 10k shares because there is no supply... but the upswing is greater - they have something coming regarding boutique hotel and serviced apartments chech out heri heights. Corporate governance is what lacks, wakipigwa kiboko watainuka
