You are just a confused alarmist!
The deceased is called Nyaseme and not your Nyasede
Again the remains can only be Interred not Interned.(attachee!)

LOL

I personally think the Widow has a right to bury the deceased wherever she wants. I still wonder why dont some people write wills if they expect such things to happen?

Very well-to-do Architect who designed NSSF Building and had massive ongoing contracts with Govt of South Sudan..he suddenly got sick and died after traveling from South Sudan to Kenya a few weeks ago.

There must be an underlying tussle in the saga.Maybe the brother plans to sell the karen land and burying him there would make the sale impossible just my thinking.
I hate how people medddle in other peoples family,if the brother wants he should die and be buried at home.

How come he died immediately after visiting the GOSS?And will all that mula he could have travelled to UK for specialised treatment.
The wife could be knowing more than we think we know.

he used to make many visits to South Sudan where a bulk of his biz came from...only that after the last visit he fell ill and died.

He was an Architect, not an engineer.

Are you saying that widows still do not have the final say? were they separated or divorced?
Any details of the case?
....above all, to stand.

with our current judges I will not be entirely surprised if the widow wins at the appeal level _ I think this is the proper thing to do. the only problem could be the well known precedent...

We all, including I, need to learn from this and write our wills, for those who haven't.
Wouldn't be surprised that the brother never used to visit marehemu, but now is very keen to bury him.

They were not in problems with the wife. Despite kawaida marital issues they seemed like a happy couple. The brother is a half brother who didnt even have much contact with the family. It was an unexpected death so am guessing he could not seek specialised care in U.K or wherever

@Impunity, I asked a general question. In other words, Are wives not the 'first' next of kin? How are his siblings and/or parents coming in?

Where did that ruling come from ( wondering aloud) I also think that the wife should be the first Next of Kin.
This nonsense of your brothers waiting for you to die and then coming from ushago to dictate matters should cease.
