These guys
knew long beforehand what was to found there (the oil was not viable as long as the international market prices were low). They bought the plots very cheaply, sat on them , and when the time was ripe, they are now selling them.
Ever wondered why the old KANU regime (including one former powerful energy minister) bought up a lot of chunks of land in those areas years ago (by the way, using cash stolen from us)?
