The cartoon on today's nation sums it all.
How I wish we could discuss it kidogo.

The two gentlemen have successfully managed to divert the attention of the ever noisy press and civil activist by announcing the oil find in Turkana and to cream it up, they trew in a ka-mini reshuff on top of it!(angalia juu ya hio mti)

The noisy groups have effectively forgoten the ICC, march 4th, Tribalism,IDPs etc...

chida iko wapi? willing buyer willing seller. the minister is just a speculator like many of us who buy plots, do nothing on them, and hope to offload for a good profit.

Wrong.

These guys knew long beforehand what was to found there (the oil was not viable as long as the international market prices were low). They bought the plots very cheaply, sat on them , and when the time was ripe, they are now selling them.

Ever wondered why the old KANU regime (including one former powerful energy minister) bought up a lot of chunks of land in those areas years ago (by the way, using cash stolen from us)?

If the start is like this, willing buyer willing seller, and unless we the people say no to it, it will soon be like Nigeria and sijui Gabon.
