Hi all,

The unfolding events and activities on this site and within the admin. circles has led me to conclude that the site already has new owners....

Why?
...i have been on this site for close to 5 years and i recon that the site activities this year are not anywhere close to the 2007 where anybody could be discussed with no punitive administrative measures or threats!...further more the original administrators were not bothered if the criticisms were honest...why change of heart and rules all of a sudden????

...i believe the rankings that any of the members has, has been earned and not given for free...this has been done through an individuals continued participation and contribution to the threads within the forum either in politics or investments etc...i bet that the rank is a measure of the manhours an individual member has spent on the site searching and giving out knowledge and the rise has not been easy...so waking up one day and deciding to demote members en mass without thinking twice begs for an answer to the question... why change of heart and rules all of a sudden????

...it seems to me that the current wazua administrators have become partisan to politics while before they were neutral...this unto itself is very telling...

...We advised wazua to close the politics section for an year but they ignored...see the thread here:

http://wazua.co.ke/forum.aspx?g=posts&t=16665

...Ford People was bought for kshs 1.5m from Kimani Wanyoike...

...ODM was bought for kshs 3m from Mugambi Imanyara...

...Wazua was bought for kshs ...m from previous wazua team...

Could the previous Wazua Admin. clear the air here...i believe they owe us members...we are the ones who made wazua what it is today!!

Goodness @Kaigangio, I have quietly watched unfolding saga but must commend your foresight in Dec 2011. I must admit I thought you had gone bonkers at the time, but the inevitability...

The world over, it's known that Religion and Politics are some of the most personal/contentious issues. They destroy families, discussion banned in some members' clubs etc.

I amazed that anyone would advocate for the banning of discussions on politics and religion - that is like wishing away sunrise and sunset. Whether you ban them or not these discussions will go on. What you should call for is sensible moderation - but not the usering that Wazua Admin has been doing.

@ muganda...the direction some discussions take make it so easy for one to predict the future outcome with precision accuracy...

...i did not have to advocate for the suspension of politics section, but the wazua admin. were going to do it anyway...the only difference is they let the falk through in too many punches at each other for too long and eventually they accepted the inevitable....

i hold the view that thhe impact wazua has in shaping the opinion of kenyans is overated because the number of kenyans who know about it is not even 0.01%. Its time to stop feeling gung-ho about it. Muffling freedom of speech for selfish interests will do no good for the growth of the forum.
