Reviving Muungano Choir

What if we committed,say 100m bob per year to a national choir,say,Muungano?

What for? To pay for musicians' salaries,equipment,travel,etc

Why? For the sake of good quality musical entertainment to the nation.

Wouldn't it be nice,for example,if the winners of various categories at the National Music Festival were then auditioned to join the National Choir?

Just a thought....

and there is this choir that practices at the Sunken car park opposite Uchumi AgaKhan Walk.who are they?they sing sooo well,without instruments and they are so few.anyone know knows who they are?i wud love to join them .i sing tenor.

KP&LC choir,trained by Isaac Kavehere who also does voice training at Wyntons College of Music; at least thats who they were last time I asked which was around 2007,a different choir might have taken root there since then.

Muungano was good. But Kenya Prisons choir with Wilson Majale in lead guitar and Mr. Kimeli conducting was the bomb !
