A farmer can access these fertilizers by getting in touch with a local agricultural officer who in turn goes to the farmer’s farm to access how much fertilizer he/she needs. The officer will then fill a relevant form which the farmer goes with to NCPB depots or the Kenya seed or ADC stores to buy the fertilizer at the farmer friendly prices. Please note that no farmer can access the fertilizer without the recommendation of the local Agricultural officer. It is not the Chief but the Local agricultural officer who recommends the amount of fertilizer the farmer can buy. The fertilizer bags are clearly marked “Government of Kenya Fertilizer” and is not sold in private shops.
