There is this very well landscaped roundabout at Silversprings Hotel (Valley road/Hurlingham rd/KNH rd roundabout). I want to replicate the same in my compound. Anyone with ideas about who did it, what grass they used and how much it would cost for a 1/4 acre plot within Nairobi?

@jaggernaut it is called emurwa. It is a pretty looking grass but requires a lot of maintenance compared to others. It spreads quickly and requires maji mingi. You really don't require expert skills to grow it as long as you have it on red-soil na mbolea(manure ya ng'ombe)
The only time you should be looking down on others is when you are helping them up.

@ Marto,

Have also been looking for a grass variety that does not require maji mingi and can do well in a dry-like place. Any ideas of the variety and where i can get it

Paspalum family of grass is mzuri.....This include but not limited to Paspalum notatum aka Bahia grass or Pensacola grass.Does not require so much water but can grow tall and therefore a need to trim often during the rainy seasons....Beauty is,cows simply love it!

Enda KEFRI at Kinari forest wakuuzie those beds from the forest. They are cut in blocks of one square metre so kazi yako ni kutandaza on your compound. Alternatively go to seed sellers wakuuzie seeds for the nyasi.
