Nice piece,
The challenge is consumption on the 3500CC twin carburetor system each pumping four engine cylinders on the V engine. But the sound my guy.... is one to die for.

You could enjoy the best of both worlds by getting the E200 or E220 models of the W124 series... they have the M111 engine that is in some of the w210 series cars. Mercedes would test the engines on the older models first just like you have some w123 series mercs with the M102 engine found in the 200/230E.

This is so very true. The W124's with the M111 engine were released in the market in 92. The E200 (replacing the M102 200E) is a decent car. For slightly more power and lower consumption (more power pushing roughly the same weight) and a couple more options, I would advise going for the E220 (which replaced the M102 230E).

Just a word of caution; with the M111 engines (except for the E200), Mercedes experimented with a bio-degradable wiring harnesses, which would fail sooner rather than later. This problem dogged Mercedes even with the first series of the W210 until around 97. My advice would be to take a critical look at the wiring and, if you are lucky, the previous owner has already replaced it.

Rowan Atkinson or you know him as Mr. Bean or Johnny English, owns a 2011 Rolls Royce Phantom with a specially installed 9 litre, V16 engine. Petrol head right there.

I rest my case and please note that I am not talking about the fuel guzzlers in the 3.0 l category

My post was not on whether Toyota is cheaper than a Benz. What I want to do is to dispel the myth that you can a service after 20K Kms.

Such oil exists.yes..
but would it make sense if you have to replace everything after every 5k kms? No.
Just synchronize your servicing 10k kms is a good tradeoff.
