Is the post with the heading "let's stop vomiting on our own toes please!" closed for comments?

Anyway am saddened by the statement by Wazua admin as below

Quote:
Dear Members,

We welcome @YesuWangu's jibe but the big question remains:

Are we all mature enough to engage in the Politics forum? Perhaps it should be limited to users of particular standing.

The Wazua spirit

You have advised for an end to bigotry earlier in that post yet i believe here you are doing the same when you say that politics should be limited to users of particular standing.

Wikipedia defines a bigot as

Quote:
A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs. The predominant usage in modern English refers to persons hostile to those of differing sex, race, ethnicity, religious belief or spirituality, political alignment, nationality, language, sexual orientation, and age; and to those from a different region, with non-normative gender identity, those who are homeless, and those with various medical disorders, particularly behavioural and addictive disorders. Forms of bigotry may have a related ideology or world views.

Kindly clarify your position on this.

This wazua.
A public forum is open to all manner of people. Responsibility lies on the Moderators or Administrators not the members because it's impossible to tame faceless characters online. People chew, regurgitate and spit without care.
I thought if somebody crossed the line they are banned or something so there's no need to get worked up since there are rules governing this place.

If Administrators sleep, people go beserk.
So if you want to enjoy, post without emotions attached to your post and go.Attack the post not the poster/his tribe/background.
That shouldn't be hard but we still have a long way to go just like the rest of Africa.

It has been closed.
For Wazua to come out and start whining how hard it is to moderate is a lame attempt to escape responsibility.
Threads which advocate for hatred/disrespect/malice towards a section or sections of our Kenyan community/communities should be "frozen".
Is it that hard to see/spot propagation of hatred Ms Wazua?
There are several individuals trolling all over Wazua spewing bigotry.
Just freeze any thread that degenerates into destructive dialogue.
The political discussions are doing more harm than good.

Blanket condemnation is not the solution to the problem.

Granted some in our number had began to run amok - throwing caution to the wind.

That isnt reason enough to penalise everybody else.

Just because certain Drivers are flouting traffic rules you dont resort to closing the road.

Find a way to isolate and deal with the wayward characters and others to discuss whatever matters they wish to.

Dear Wazua.. if its not too hard to ask.. maybe you can have a 'thumbs up' +1 or -1' or 'report as abusive' gadget on posts, that way you could be alerted on 'useless threads'

there are serious contributors on the forum.. gentlemen busy at work and willing and ready to give their contributions here.. including PS's, investment firms (GhengisCapital 4architects, vvt,qs guka, Mukiha etc...)

but then there is also the other lot...the busybodies.. who work in cybers or something.. whose brain range runs from small to slightly below average.. whose core purpose and value is to dissect events and personalities and tribes and people..

you will never see them peeing/contributing to serious threads like stocks, corporate affairs, unless they are dissecting and individual there..

They give Wazua nation a bad name.

thanks

harrydre reminds me of those guys who come straight from high school in central to nairobi and never leave. Somehow that makes them believe that they are very well travelled and educated.

by the way its very rude to type using another colour in public forums. it shows emotional immaturity when you want to stand out among other people. Worse it shows lack of knowledge in basic etiquette in forums worldwide.

Probably brought about by the warped belief that live revolves around the kikuyus and "raira".

@ Alma, am speaking of facts hard facts. you all saw it on TV and papers. and yes am well travelled, for your information am on my 4th passport booklet and every once in a while, I travel back to my village and invest there. western and Nyanza are very productive all year round and what do we get from there? when people burn industries and businesses during PEV, what do they expect? now what has even been spread to sports. very sick indeed.

@ Harrydre, tembea bro, get to know your country, take some Geography lessons and most importantly history of kenya from independence.

The mentality that you have about other tribes is disgusting. That we at the coast are lazy, Kambas eat dogs, Luos lazy, Kales bla bla. this must change. This country needs infrastructure in equal measure and will develop.

The way you up-loud when one writes that Central kenya produces more fish even than Indian Ocean is amazing. you have the "We-are-always-right" ATT.
Think again.
This country is skewed in devpmt not bcoz of the lazy ones but coz of other reasons have mentioned b4.

I am well traveled and I repeat, if you have no respect for your neighbors properties and every time there is elections you destroy them, then don't expect anyone to come helping you in the future. Western and Nyanza are the most fertile land in Kenya but what is this nonsense we are hearing? I dare you to quote where I mentioned kambas this or luos or where I supported the comment on central produces more fish etc. stop putting words in my mouth. My argument was strictly to do with Kisumu industries.

It is very disappointing to note that Lady Admin has resulted to Guerilla tactic of freezing threads that Ki-Dictator is mentioned.

Makosa Imefanyika?

Why was 'Executive impunity has no place in a proper democracy' thread by @Wakanyuugi frozen?

Yes! and people are getting emotional. If people have facts let's have a healthy discussion. In the spirit of freedom, you need not lock out some threads.
