Looking for book on History and Traditions of Kenya

A friend is looking for a book on History and Traditions of Kenya as per the request below:

HISTORY & TRADITION OF Kenya

This Office intends to deepen our understanding of each country and territory. If you can identify a textbook -written in English- about Kenya that explains the history and traditions and you can mail the copy to our Office, please get in touch with us. A better understanding of your history and traditions will help us better design the operational framework in Kenya.



An example of an extraordinary piece of literature that depicts the history and tradition of Madagascar is presented in A History of Madagascar, see link below:

If you have contacts at the library of Yale University in New Haven Connecticut it would be a great place to start. I have not seen it but I understand there is some very raw, very old material there on the history of Kenya.

I have thought that if I ever won a lottery and did not have to work for a living I would go there and just dig up the information which I understand is still in boxes and has not even been archived.

take a trip to kenya national library headquarters . Tons of books on kenya's traditional history .
