do they need the 4Bn for the upgrade?! this amount is enough to set up a new hotel in the rift valley. they don't have to look around the city because i believe what they have here is enough

Although TPS Serena reported an increase in profits in 2011 over 2010, operating cashflows fell by about 50%. TPS is currently trading at a PE of 10 while many other good stocks are trading at sub 10 ratios. 2012 will also be challenging for this counter; the upcoming general elections in Kenya will likely impact tourism numbers. There are better buys in the market.

From their 2011 annual report they will be increasing the authorised capital from 192million to 200million. Are they thinking of doing a rights issue or giving a bonus issue or even looking for a strategic investor to be paid by shares?
IMHO if there is a company that requires a strategic investor it should be this one. However, being the flagship brands of Aga khan we may never see it happen but they is alot to gain if they do a KK or adopt the Scangroup strategy of being part of the winning team.
By the way, TPSEA is one of the the worst performers at the NSE this year having lost 22%. To add insult to injury the travel advisories and Al shabaab/Somalia issues do not want to go away.

The AGM will be held this tuesday 29.05.2012 but i will not be attending.

TPS Eastern Africa closed at 43.75 on Friday. Shares are well held and supply is actually thin. I have a 60.00 Price Objective before year end which gives an Investor 37.142% of up side this year.
