Please do not be misled by the topic, there is no LUTHULI Inc having a rights issue....its all about our sisters and some brothers working off Luthuli Avenue and other streets in the city as commercial sex workers i.e selling of sexual acts for a monetary fee (for the unitiated)..

What are the thoughts on this,I belive we should not vindicate this lot as none of us is righteous only God is,we should seek to listen to them and hear their point of view on the CSW'ing issue or whatever you may like to call it..

We should not be quick to judge and throw the first stones at these people as they are our very own sisters and brothers. We may have issues with what they do and how they do it but the foundation of a just and modern society is rights and equality for all.

So my point is as much as we have issues with what they do let us give them a hearing...

What say fellow wazuans..

I think commercial sex workers should be regulated....just like cigarettes and beer/liquor industries.

This issue of making this trade illegal is utter nonsense given the penalties given to law breakers.

IMHO if designated/zoned localities were to be identified and the sex workers issued with permits after having passed a medical ..we will not only contain the spread of HIV but also the govt will earn revenues from this lucrative black market.

I think its laughable for us to pretend that this trade is illegal while in most towns and streets this trade is practised openly in cahoot with the police.

if govt is indeed me and you then I REFUSE TO HAVE THEIR MONEY in the same way - it happens in church i.e.
"You shall not bring the hire of a harlot or the price of a dog[homosexual] to the house of the LORD your God for any vowed offering, for both of these are an abomination to the LORD your God."
The 'I' part in government don't want their money!! and as we speak
- the 'I' part of government is much larger than the 'selah' part and that's democracy!

@masukuma Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar and God what belongs to God.

Smoking, drinking and Nyamchom harms the body the same way harlots harm the body furthermore adultery as Jesus said does not happen when you only sleep around with harlots or a woman who is not your wife but also when you think of sleeping around.

The last time I checked Drinking and smoking causes more deaths than harlotry but government reaps billions from those industries.Mpango wa kando is a way of life from time immemorial,we have even passed a law allowing polygamy for crying out loud, why shld we victimise A trade just because of our moral high ground, burying our heads on the sand and pretend the government is doing all it can to eradicate prostitution.
