Starting this week henceforth, I will be sharing a home décor tip every week on wazua. I hope to inspire, learn as well as share in your unique decorating experiences.

Tip No. 1

Before you embark on decorating your home, take time to define your style and choose your colours. Find a way to visit homes you admire and note the colours used. Peruse magazines and carefully note the elements you gravitate towards.

This tips will be much appreciated.I wish to raise two issues with CB.

1.When shopping for interior colours sometimes early Jan,i visited one of your stated paint dispenser in Nakuru (Mache hardware to be precise)but didn't get much help as the guy in charge was clueless,a quack or both.I should give it a go again late april and i wish to know where to get help(I have shades of what i need and this i can post here or to you via mail).

2.Would it not be of help if your website had a page for stuff like colour trends,combos,schemes,moods and stylz...etc?.To appreciate what i mean,you may need to have a look at Benjamin Moore,Dutch boy, Valspar and other paint makers.Myperfectcolour.com is also a good start.

@njung'e..am surprised you visited that hardware-they have developed some sort of arrogance and the employees seem are clueless as you put it.
Next time visit a mhindi along kenyatta avenue opp. tuskys and just before the Chinese restaurant if you need a good color mix. I am using his paints na hao inatokea gweli gweli.

@ guka, sorry for the bad experience you had at Mache. We normally train one sales person at each of the colour zones that distribute our products. We also provide them with a colour chart for their customers to select colours from. Ideally they should even be able to match your desired colours to the colours on the chart and create the colours you desire.
