@Sirikal, make your point and avoid the madman of wazua. He will leave you annoyed over a trivial issue while he has fun about it. I am tempted to reply to his insults and wild allegations but then I remember something about fighting a dirty pig...Back to the topic, do you have Maranda individual student performance?

Cry us a river, brother sirikali. You have missed the mark despite your brilliance. School examination results do not have any direct impact on the lives of millions. Individuals' examination results do. You go to college, pursue a career and live your life as an individual not a school. Perverted minds like you have made it the other way round. That ranking of schools is most important. You are not being vigilant, you are being diversionary, a burden. Instead of getting the story right, don't you think that it is far much important to get the right story? The right story that 'vigilant citizens', that you purport to be, ought to be pondering and asking questions about include Kimani WaNjuguna storyFor your information, the writer is a stakeholder in education maybe even more than you. Brief excerpts for your sake: the number of candidates who scored a mean grade of: a) E increased from 6,198 in 2010 to 6,600; b) D-minus — shot up from 41,207 to 47,273, c) D plus, was 63,853. d) in 2011, the candidates who scored low grades were more than those who had top marks. e) This means that most of our learning institutions are churning out failures despite the millions of taxpayers’ shillings that are pumped into the public school system. If you really have the interest of 'millions of parents, students, teachers etc' at heart you will be concerned about the above figures and its implications. You do not. Mop all you want.

OK good people. Pull out your calculators. Go to this site http://www.ni3c.net/results/indexsec.aspx
Type in Maranda. You will get the grades for each student, subject by subject. Do the math and let us agree on the score for Maranda. Ditto Alliance B, Alliance G, Starehe. Then lets look at the findings.

@srikal sorry to burst your bubble but I can confirm to you that these papers were being hawked long before the exams. Back in my day we never saw leaks but in 2011 there definitely were leaks, so get your head out of the sand

@srikal I hope by now you ve learnt how points are assigned ie A=12, A-=11, B+=10, B=9, B-=8.........you get the drift, so a kid can have an A plain with 81, 82, 83 or 84 points. This is because he/she may not have had straight As in all subjects.
I still dont get y you are banging on about the 11.000000 so i wont reply to that, all I can think of are typos among the journalists
in my time in high school it was common that top student ranking in papers was ranked by the raw marks in the subjects ie there were discrepancies in that the best kid by % marks was not necesarily the best in the points or vice versa
finally we all know these exams were heavily leaked so hakuna haja ya kupiga kifua, thats not to steal their thunder but hii exam was out months in advance
I went to a bloody good school too and am proud of it I went to one of the school's that is always being accused of getting leaked papers. Another myth...Not once the whole time I was there did we get leaked papers. Ever.We just studied our butts off. Outworked everyone else. Accusations of papers being leaked are made by those who, for whatever reason, lack the wherewithal to do well. Sorry, there is no conspiracy there. As for the performance index, let me paint the very big picture for you in a single sentence: If it had been properly calculated as 11.057, there would be no rumors of conspiracies, political manipulations, Raila cooking results and what have you. We would not be having this conversation. Get it? THAT, IN BIG LETTERS, IS THE BIG PICTURE. if that is a big picture in your world, it must be very small, sorry.

@ Sirikali1 Since you brought up the effecient market thing, I am going to shift my argument and expose your shallow knowledge on the topic you intentionally brought up to scare me.
First grammar is not my thing, you can even make it harder if you write in swahili because it is a struggle for me to read swahili not because I am good in English but because I am bad in swahili, so that is clarified.
Now onto the effecient market thing, there is not link between effecient market hypothesis and market correcting itself so do not mix them up, I do not know your level of knowledge on capital markets but please if your knowledge was obtain through the study of principles of finance then lets end the conversation there is alot more linked to market correcting itself than what principles of finance teaches. First if you agree on existance of arbitrage opportunity then you agree on markets correcting itself, if you do not agree on it then drop the arguments. Secondly knowing people like you is of no value at all, fundamental information that you can obtain from knowing people is becoming less and less profitable because of-ineffecient markets-, fundamental analysis has been replaced by technical analysis. Please don't give me bullshit finance, your kidneys are still up for sale
