Good people, are you guys experiencing the problem we are? Jana i went to my local supermarket and there was no single packet of milk in sight... They were only selling the dispensed milk from the machines and the queue was winding and winding so i passed since i still had a few packets remaining...

today, we arent taking tea in office.. reason being, there is no milk and the guy who delivers couldn't get at all.... nini imefanyika?

This is called Economics - The Kenyan Approach. The prices "needed" to go up and so the milk had disappear from the shelves - assisted disappearance. By end of next week, the milk will be back on the shelves - only at higher prices. And you will feel lucky to get yourself a packet. Psychology 101!!!

If the shortage is genuine, the shortage would have been gradual. Unless someone wants me to believe all the cows woke up one morning and decided enough is enough - led by their Atwoli of course!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

That could be the case. I had not realized there is a shortage until jana when I heard in the news. Good thing is some of us who live in 'machinani' get supply direct from cows..

The shortage even hit the headlines?... My thinking yesterday (and i felt very clever) was that the supermarket was hoarding milk so that we can buy the one from the dispenser.... so since i had a few packets remaining at home, nikaringa.... today in the morning there was no tea in the office because there was no milk and it hit me things aren't as they looked yesterday!

@guka... you are lucky you still have teeth that can turn... mimi yangu ilipotea kitambo... but seems am joining your strungi club now on!

...Yes, there is no milk...My seeds had to take chocolate without milk in the morning and complained all the way to the end of the cup. Thought it was another measure being instituted to cut cost. No explanation would convince them otherwise. And so today I am not doing anything other than looking for milk.
...@Njung'e...I thought you had an old cow...Does it still produce any milk?
