How do we keep these looters away from Konza? If people still steal street lights and we are talking visions for heavens sake!

we cannot have a dark vision!

Last week on Friday, I noticed that the guard rails in the small bridge just after the T-Mall round-about on your way to town hakuna. Surely by the end of this year, at this rate, we may not have any metal gates in our houses!!!! Or even gangs will be coning to your house and they say' washana na Tv kata hiyo grill iko kwa diricha twede!!!Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Scrap metal business must be banned for a meaningful development in Kenya. The business is to blame for the vandalism we are witnessing today.street light poles, guard rails and road signs- Ever noticed that Thika-Nyeri road does not have road signs like bump ahead. who saw the Thika fly over some months ago after the scrap metal business harvested the side rails.

What will happen to thika super highway.

I could be wrong, but I think the late Hon Michuki proposed this...It makes a lot of sense to ban this trade...but then again, their are those who will cry about denying them their daily bread...but seeing the guy who proposed this clear Grogon..well?? someone needs to take it up...

What amount of time does it take to uproot and load 40 poles? I think a lot of time. At least enough time for police/City Council of Nairobi or Kenya Airports Authority Security officers to zoom in from as far away as the CBD.

How many people drive past the vandals and just minded their own business? Many I think, especially given that JKIA is a 24 hour facility.

An eye witness Anthony Munene who works at the airport said he was reporting for work at around 5am in the morning while he noticed several young men carrying away the poles and loading them onto a lorry.

ok you saw then what???

Unconfirmed reports indicated that the poles were in high demand from scrap metal dealers operating in Mlolongo who were offering the vandals huge sums for the poles and other metal.Vandals have also vandalised the railguard of the flyover at the railway crossing near General Motors. Last September, Roads minister Franklin Bett called for the banning of the scrap metal business which he said was contributing to the vandalisation of road signs and road rails.

***whistling** a talking nation indeed.

For heavens sake how d u steal poles on a busy highway?

You telling me there was no single police vehicle in the vicinity doing the rounds?

Ok now that we know where they are based ie mlolongo what next?
