VAT up to 18%

Excise on beer up from 54/= per ltr to 70/= (Am going on a drinking spree before prices are increased @ midnight)


Any other predictions??.

..why don't you order a full truck and ensure yourself a year's supply of cheap beer. You see,here in Zimbabwe,whenever you go to a club you order only once - like if you take 10 beers you order 10. Reason: if you order one one,every beer will come with its own price. Prices increase by the minute!!! So guy,beat them at their own game,call East African Breweries now.....

@ZZ,

Is this why EABL moved 1,172,800 share yesterday i.e someone knows something others don't know?

Is raising VAT a smart move?This only makes products more expensive thus people buy less

@Chaka UG and TZ have VAT @ 18%... Kenya might want to harmonize..

I am not expecting anything exciting,the usual increase in sin tax,the rest of the expenditure is to pay salaries to civil servants who do sweet f**k all day.

Then of course the trick about development expenditure which is never spent as no project ever gets done.


I guess if you can't win with facts,you can always pen bile-laced,xenophobic rants to distract everyone.
