There was some inconsistency in the results published by DN today. In the overall ranking, PB Riruta is absent, in the county ranking, it is ahead of Pangani which was in the top 10. This was not the only one but the most glaring!

.....That was natinal schools ranking that you checked!!!!

Where was PB in the overall ranking?

Find the categorised ranking on this link

@Lolest, that is not the overall list, is the list for best national schools and goes upto pos 48 (with the new national schoold included), the number of national schools!!!

Check out jana's standard, it had the correct list for overall rankings headed top 145......

Congrats to Maranda. Though even I am wondering where is PB? And lets not ignore the fact that girls' schools have taken 6 of the top ten slots, we are taking over pole pole..!!

Congrats to Maranda High !

Just Think , watch what will happen as i believe happened to schools like Starehe and Alliance that used to lead every year. We saw the chairman of BOG Eng Carey if i remember the name. Next year each and every monied parent will try to have his / her son enrolled to the school for better results in four years.

They will use power and money and "do you know anybody "syndrome to get their kids there despite their performance, i know Eng Carey's friend's friend, headteacher . I believe this is what has been happening to Starehe since Griffins died and watch where they are now.
Hope Maranda will watch out !

@kiash, its not Griffins, but Griffin without the s at the end.

I heard an interesting theory about the rise of the 'small' schools, and the fall of the hitherto academic giants.

The PEV shuffled the cards, and experienced, good teachers relocated back to their home schools, the result being the powerhouses lost their best to the minnows. The outcomes are now being felt - the first formers in the year of the violence have completed their course.
