I am looking for a location where i can find this (save for cybers),some form of privacy/space to work would be greatly appreciated. I will be streaming 2-3 hour long video links and uploading/downloading info so speeds and reliablity is key.

Where would you suggest i can get this (not willing to pay through the nose) whereby i can be able to access this atleast every morning for like 5-6 weeks.

Thanks

R.

Dear Customer,
Greetings from Zuku!

We regret to inform you that the main undersea internet cable (TEAMS) serving the country has been cut in the high seas. As a result, your Internet access experience has degraded from yesterday afternoon.

Zuku Internet services have been available on lesser capacity than normal. This shall be characterized by inconsistent internet access and slow download speeds. We expect normal service to resume as soon as the problem is resolved. We are working on alternative capacity to address the issue.

We shall inform you of major developments.
Our contact centre is reachable on 0 205 205 205 for any further information or clarifications.

Thank you for your patience as we work on resolution.

With regards,
Zuku Customer Service

i would go for aitel 3G .
and those who are telling you they can tweak the network to go even faster and yet its capped are cheating you ..
what you need obviously is unlimited and UNCAPPED Internet so that removes safcom and Orange leaving Airtel alone

There customer care is really trying. Apart from that email they have been sending text messages too:

Dear (Elder), We are still experiencing outage on our service provider affecting your internet service and some channels. Kindly bear with us

Dear (Elder), We are still experiencing degraded service due to a cable cut on our Main Service Provider. Apologies for the inconveniences caused. from Z

Are you using the Zuku WiMAX or Zuku cable? I know their WiMAX is hit and miss but intermittent is not a word I would use for the cable. In all my time of using it, it is only now it has been low and they have been quick to contact me explaining why. Just hope they will compensate for the lost days.

mimi ni zuku damu....The current issue is not their fault..someone cut their provider's cable. But when its on, its on. Their customer care is obviously wanting. T

here is a girl on their second floor offices at loita house who's honestly very rude to clients. I have seen her lose 4 clients who had a problem with their service.

She once told one of the clients that he could go to any service provider he wanted to and go to head office, mombasa road. To complain. She's horrible and seems to be in charge of their customer care guys so there's your weak link. Next time I will get her name and post it here.

Other than that, the service itself is great.....when it's on.

1)device manager>>ports>>Change the connection speed for the 3g port to max ie 128000
2)set also change flow control to hardware
3)upgrade the modem firmware
4)change the safcom static dns settings to 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220

i did but am now using orange on my unlocked safcom modem

good luck

I have been using the airtel untill they rolled their 3G. After that the modem would connect but would show Download (0.00kbs)upload (0.00kbs)when i visited customer care they didn't give me a solution.

I have now acquired the safaricom super high speed modem for 10K and its wonderful 3Mbps
