I dont know about you but Im a pretty happy investor..
Total dividend for the year = 1bob (8.75% dividend yield at current price) (10.5% for those of us who got in @ 9bob)

KK have developed a dividend policy of 40-45% when they announce profits..

Oh yeah Dont forget there will be another 40-50cents dividend paid after H1 2012 is announced in July..

Dont forget¡¡¡

After that .57 interim i did not expect the final dividend to be more than 50 cents. Interest payments rose by a billion shillings!.Let us hear what Segman expects for this year.

NEW POST: Although top line growth looks quite strong, the company’s profitability declined as indicated by the drop in profit margins, management needs to do more to contain costs and watch the company’s debt levels since they’re starting to affect ROCE, hopefully the scrapping of promotions such as Deal Poa and the companies focus on high margin business lines, introduction of new business lines and the companies strong supply chain will help improve margins in 2012 and enhance profitability at the company. A stable Shilling will also be key this year. On a trailing PE of 5.2 and a dividend yield of 8.5% I rate Kenol Kobil Strong BUY with a price target of Sh20 with the price target price arrived at using the Gordon Growth model.

The results are very good. I'm impressed that kk managed to grow its profit by more than single digit, the environment was very very harsh. Was it not for clever management, profits would've suffered seriously. Going forward, with the shillling stable, management said they expect growth over the next few years, and after this. Who can doubt then. At 11.50. Its trading at a pe of 5.3.

In its September 2011 update, Kestrel estimated an EPS of 2.19 for FY11
and a DPS of 1 bob. EPS turned out to be 2.2 and they nailed it on the dividend.
In the same September 2011 report Kestrel estimated an EPS of 3.44 and 4.04 for the FY12 and FY13 respectively

EPS 2.22, Diluted EPS 2.21. The effect of ESOPs in the first year is negligible.
