Its a disaster.. Its very risky for a company to shift from a high dividend payer to a low dividend payer.. Especially when they are offering a crappy 10% profit growth..

There are quite a number of investors who will dump these shares without thinking twice about it..

I consider interim dividend not a must but a kind gesture, kplc paid .45cts last year and is likely to pay more this fy with no bonus expected a special dividend will not surprise me..in short its too early to complain.

Crappy does not even begin to describe it. Paying a 1% dividend (I know it is interim so even if it doubles at year end will just be 2%)in a bear market is criminal. After slip and rights we expected a div of about 1/= per share.....

What is 0.45shs DPS relative to 2.4EPS.. Now 0.20shs DPS relative to 1.20EPS.. What I am complaining about is the clear shift in dividend policy after the share restructuring¿¿ that will definitely be noticed and unwelcomed by investors since this is a sign of diversion from shareholder interests to GOK interests..

A 45cents is a 2.6% dividend yield at current prices.. This is well below historical average, industry average & market average..

Its like spitting in our faces. Last yr interim was 0.35. They have increased issued shares, bringing eps down drastically.
