I think Kirinyaga women are probably the most hostile in this country, i don't think they'll even wait until you're drunk to attack you. MK is a very good example of what to expect....

Really? Another stereotype if you ask me. But @Leona can tell us if this is the case?

From all angles, this is not a woman. It is a man in a womans clothing.

Surely, how do you expect a man to rise up to the occasion when attempting to land on this man-woman? Unless you are under influence of something stronger than Guiness, I see no other way.
By inference, the man is all that Mr Phantom is not: an untrustworthy radical, divisive, too many enemies, a dictator, and a persistent liar...

If she throws you an eye, you shiver. She should become a police woman. Even Matatu men would behave on the roads.

healthy sobber men don´t get beaten ovyo ovyo...but tired daily drinking men(DDMs) get thier butts kicked because 1.they don't have the strength to deffend themselfs after hrs off heavy boozing 2.no money left to bribe the angry and hungry woman waiting @ home while he smells of nyama choma and ladygay 3. too worn out to perform in bed coz the girl @ the bar had already done the milking...mm, leads to a nice beating.

So true. We only get to hear one side of the story. By the time a woman is unleashing like that on the husband, she has vumiliad a lot for too long.

if you are a man and you don't want to be beaten give her okasim dose atleast twice a week.youll will never be beaten.ask mcdoba.he advised a certain mpig husband to do so and we've never seen any beatings news from them thereafter.

note that when these poor souls are in a bar, they are a nuisance, very arrogant, noissy and pretend to own the whole world, but that is before they go home..some of them spend most nights in bars..must be the fear of their wives.

the truth is men from central province have become useless! phombee kila siku. ndio maana wanachapwa...na wachapwe zaidi! I am sure this is not happening to everyone. A hard-working, sober and born-again man would not end up being chapwad for two reasons
1) there is no need to chapa him, you maybe the only one in that village with a 'working' husband.
2) u cannot chapa him - ako ridho!

What this phenomenon is summoning to us, is that the days of the drunkards are over. the tragedy is that central province will end up in a situation similar to what was being described here

makes perfect sense why gikuyu had a 'thingira' (traditiional man's hut) where his wives only came by invitation. Men marrying nyeri women need thingiras where they can stagger at 4am without getting stiched faces.....

masukuma..three things..

Nothing justifies anyone to beat a spouse.. Kama hakusaidii toka uende utafute yule atakusaidia. What value does beating another adult add? ( I am actually saddened that no women have come out ( other than Wendz) to condemn this thing.)

secondly, to me, there is a bigger problem that is driving the men to resort to heavy drinking. Unless that is resolved,we can talk all we want but the drinking will continue.

Finally, what has made the women think beating your husband is the right thing? It is unnatural! Iko shida kubwa huko.
I Think Therefore I Am

@Radio
It's not the whole of Kirinyaga.. Those from Gichugu in particular are known to be violent(both men and women btw) and the mamas don't take BS from anyone. And even those who aren't physically violent are very good at Verbal wars even in public
