Fabio Capello Resigns as England Coach! How!? Why!? He earns 6 million pounds sterling a year! I want his job. smile

FA STATEMENT

"The Football Association can confirm that Fabio Capello has today resigned as England Manager.

"This follows a meeting involving FA Chairman David Bernstein, FA General Secretary Alex Horne and Fabio Capello at Wembley Stadium.

"The discussions focused on The FA Board's decision to remove the England team captaincy from John Terry, and Fabio Capello's response through an Italian broadcast interview.

"In a meeting for over an hour, Fabio's resignation was accepted and he will leave the post of England Manager with immediate effect."

This must be Ntimama's day. In the morning he is cleared by courts and Capello resigns in the evening. Mourinhos name will feature in the succession but Ntimama might be the next manager.

Good riddance.
England can now reclaim their lost position in world football.

Redknapp is 66 years old now and is coaching a very vibrant Tottenham team this season. I don't see him accepting the job. Especially with only 3 months left to the Euros.

I'm no football fanatic but England tend to overate themselves when it comes to international football.
Club football is good bt remember its full of 'imports' who boost talent in the club scene.
England have the celebrity mentality kind of view, like David Berkham (how do we write his 2nd name?).
In my view, they should be ranked somewhere between Romania and India in fifa rankings.

Well well, I thought the coach has the powers to appoint the captain, what the hell. So now 4 months to the Euros, no manager, no captain. Who cares??

Harry is the overwhelmng candidate to replace Fabio, he is 64 yrs old not 66, infact David Levy is looking for maximum financial comepnsation before he lets go of Harry!!!

Fabio Capello's problems have always been John Terry!!!!...how can he choose to stick with him after the two scandulous acts........wayne bridge and Anton Ferdinand!!!
