Whatever the process, there will be a serious outcry from Western politicians......Sikiza!

and the outcry will go like, do we have anyone from western in charge of coffee factories/companies in central.....with another question following it.. if a westerner was to be appointed to head one will the mumbis accept it? My tribal Kenya.... will we see vision 2030?

Come on mister, from the comments here i can't see where you are coming from, unless we take it that you as a person has a problem with the appointment.

@Mgeman..... you cant see where am coming from with my comments... well you will only see what you want to see or close your eyes to what you dont want to see...
Its very simple, my elder Njung'e pointed to the fact that western MPs will start raising issues on the appointment and i just pointed to the way they might raise the issues...
Appointments in Kenya have issues with citizens to the very local level and facts are that.... there are issues in our country in regards to this, we care less about qualification and expertise but cling to the tribe all these facts are there for you to see right from KPA in Mombasa, EAPC in arthi-river to KRA and now Mumias among others.
Personally I have no problem with the appointment of whoever....i look at the bottom line, which is income to my investments, the rest i care less about who is appointed so long as he can deliver... that said what does kujivunia kuwa mkenya mean?.....

@jamani your assertion that pple from western will complain because the envisaged CEO is from central just shows your own personal view while you hide behind the pple of western.

Last year leaders from western said they will support anyone who will be appointed by the board regardless of whether he is from western or not.So this issue of ethnicity does not arise unless you are dissatisfied personally with the appointment.

The issue of whether this recruitment is competitive or not shld be raised by shareholders in the next GM further more the board has the authority to hand pick or subject the process to a competitive recruitment.

@Saleh, I refer you to post #4, and i request you to read #5 in line with #4 not forgetting to read the last sentence on #5... then read #7 the last paragraph... i just echoed #4, with words that they may use as politicians and you know this, its not politicians from coast, eastern or western who would miss to use the line i pointed out....

Well i reiterate my personal view without hiding under any region, I do not care who is appointed i care for the bottom line.... nothing more and for your information my interest in mumias is only dividends and capital growth nothing else.... I care less if all employees are from central, western, nyanza, coast or even from my own region... I am a capitalist supporting the right environment and competitiveness the bottom line is all what i look at...... so, relax your thoughts on me... I follow the money and the talent that can create it, not tribal leaders or tribal inclinations
