Hey guys,

I have an idea on how I can start a small business but I would prefer if I can get some wise words from you guys. Here it is.......I work for an NGO company and I usually travel to the states about once a month for business' purposes. I was thinking that during my trips, I can buy stuff (clothes, electronics, women products, etc ....feel free to add some of your ideas) and bringing them back to kenya for a sale. Things are pretty cheap in the states esp. electronics compared to prices back home. For example, XBOX 360 goes for $100 compared to kenya it usually starts from 29,000 shs. Feel free to leave any comments, advice, or question?? Thanks.

Nice idea, though a few questions:

Since you travel a lot, would you happen to know shipping and/or tax charges for electronics? Especially custom duties?

As you work for an NGO, can you bring stuff in duty free?

I'd be keen on gaming electronics. Do you already have a supplier in mind? Or would you just walk into department store to get material?

On a more personal note, when next are you leaving? Would it be possible for me to send you for something?

Cheers.
