He(UK) should know there is a difference between looking tough and being really tough. He should change his tactics(lawyers) in his defence. The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.

I think the effect will be positive, if people will not fight.... interpretation of Mr. Market is impunity has be nipped in the bud and no more sacred cows..... why am I saying positive because Mr. Market expects with a high degree peaceful elections....

i have been waiting for this verdict to determine how to invest going forward. In my own view Mr. Market does not see any sense of rejuvenation like we saw in 2003, at present Mr. Market sees status quo remaining no matter who wins, well this verdict may make owners of capital in central and rift cagey about the future especially if they feel there is no one to protect their business interests in future so we are likely to be in limbo until we see a new cabinet in 2013 and see if there is any different policy.

What do we learn from this? usi tusi wakunga na uzazi ungalipo.... never ever compare serious matters to shooting a hollywood movie, anything you say or do shall be used against you... the two silent fellows may walk....

@Mkonomtupu, those that stole will be cagey of course but we do have very many good and serious investors from these regions who know how to read the mood and capitalize on it... and i doubt their investment ideology is pegged on personalities... its capitalism i me and myself

@Jamlu, you invest because you are optimistic about the future, you hold back if you are pessimistic...investment is kenya is pegged on who is likely to win and what policy reversals are likely with such a person. think like Aga khan in 1960 deciding to start the Daily Nation to articulate the view of the nationalists, or rick of old mutual pouring cash in stocks during the last months of 2002, it's all about optimism...EABL is already down 6%

its @Jamani not Jamlu.... true what you mentioned however does it mean that all people in central and rift valley will not invest? what if they already have investments? will they sell because one of their own has been taken to the hague? investment is personal one doesnt invest with the community one investments because there is an ideal investment opportunity... are you saying that, there will not be one because one of there own is going to the Hague? come on lets get out of this tribal thing... as you rightly put Aga khan invested in the 60s despite the fact that there were issues of independence, kanu and kadu... etc what makes you think that foreign investors will not come having seen impunity nipped in the bud?

There has been no threat from UK, what UK said is let there be peace irrespective of the ICC ruling and peace we shall have... people should stop being emotional and learn that we have to act in a civilized manner... stop putting words in UKs mouth he can talk and take care of himself.

Ocampo6 downgraded to ocampo4. NSE to range trade for a while with downtrend bias. KE doesn't have a FinMin (akili iko hague sasa) and that will make for a disorderly treasury. Wil baks appoint someone else? Nop. Political mood cant allow for it. Such a long wait for 2013 this... $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!
