'These valleys are characterised by both permanent and seasonal marshes and swamps dominated by papyrus, typha reeds and other emergent grasses. It is at this site where ground water emerges and re-enters circulation in Ruaka– Githogoro surface hydrological network.' - Transaltion : Hiding behind the peasants again. No mention of Runda in the entire article. By the way,do you know what typha reeds are? We will bombard you with jargon till you are dazzeled and accept our point of view.''
Could some one explain to me if these 'Typha reeds' only grow along the 60 metres wide road reserve or in the area generally. If its only along the 60 meters reserve then we have a wonder of nature on our hands. But nature doesnt work like that, just as in the case where straight lines DO NOT exist in nature, the Typha Reeds must also grow generally, meaning that most of those houses in Runda have been built in these Typha growing areas and that a vast majority of them have already been destroyed as a result.
For those of us who did not know what Typha was below is soem destcription from Wikipedia.
