I beg to differ with that comment. It's been followed to the letter! The constitutional court is recognised by the constitution and is allowed to give interpretation where there are conflicting issue in the constitution.

My apologies. Could you explain the possible scenarios for me. What happens if M E Kibaki feels tired of all the bickering and resigns then elections will be held in the next 90 days even if Hassan isn't ready?

Since when did Kibaki pay attn to noise? Where have U been? Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Network ya Kibaki haishiki safaricom or Airtel. It's tuned to some networks from China that broadcast infrastructure related signals. Rather than the roads, freedom to do whatever you want and free education we will remember him as a see nothing-do-nothing prezzo who did nothing as over 1000 people were butchered and 6 men taken to the Hague.

March 2013 = enough time for the market to take in 2 sets of results (FY 2011 and FY 2012)

Yes, that's how far the election is now. Jipange vilivyo!

Enough time for police reforms too! When that is completed, it will be the final nail in the coffin for Kenya's status as a banana republic!

smile smile Good if elections will take place in 2013 as investors will have a good 2012FY and companies will not have time to say elections screwed us as they say on inflation, material cost and labour. So no hedging for 2012 political scariness and mines! Lets go 2013 for the best part of 1st quarter and close the year 2013 with less worries in to gear!Applause Applause Pray

I think this information will have a much bigger impact than the election date...and besides Kibaki+Raila will find a consensus (as if!!)..I expect elections to be held in Dec 2012 and by then the market will have found its feet again. What u think Cde?

The best reaction after the ruling came from RAO (he celebrated his 67th BD earlier this month!). He says "the committee" on coalition issues will decide on whether to terminate! the life of 10th Parliament earlier than 14/01/2013.

I think somebody should now move to court on the issue of payment of tax by MPs and on what laws they can leggaly pass pertaining to their remuneration...

the majority seem to have switched to the common election year wait and see mode with the share prices low and likely not to pick up that soon then i see an opportunity to buy more.

@QW25081985; We don't need an expert to tell us what to buy. May be one to tell us what to avoid! eg paka.

We spent nearly 15 years fighting for new constitutional order. We were clobbered, nearly maimed...remember Njoya wailing? Some of us were not very far. One thing WE WANTED was a DEFINITE ELECTIONS DATE elections that can even be inserted in our textbooks.

This was to remove the uncertainty so that Kenyans can plan to avert losses associated with elections.

Now we are back to the same thing.... 2 people to decide. For me, it would have been better to pay off the MPigs for 5 months salaries and hold the elections in August. We'll still pay them and I can bet they'll achieve nothing in those 5 months.

Business/econ wise we are doomed till we get over with elections
