i do agree with m0st of theposts on GC.the staff there are not paeds.for you to see a paed you must say at the front desk that you want to see daktari mkubwa. why are they playing with our kids health

It took them 2yrs to diagonise adenoids which were disturbing my daughter for a while. All that time she was put on heavy antibiotics & cough syrups that never worked. Interesting part is, the day they 'discovered' the adenoids they scheduled an emergency surgery for her claiming the condition is critical. I ran away from them never to be seen there again. An ENT by the name Dr. Din in AGUH saved the day. Very efficient & did a lot of post surgery follow ups for 15 months to find how the girl was doing. Ogopa GGCH kama kirori ya mafuta

Miriam's diagnosis and tells me to stop giving her the vitamins as it is unnecessary. He then adds how surprised he was at what she said especially since she was his student. You can imagine how upset i was that my daughter was misdiagnosed and forced to take unnecessary vitamins. For 1 week I had carried the burden that i was not vigilant enough in her care and made her get rickets. Bottom line is, always get a second opinion and don't put too much faith on one doctor.

Getrude's is one hospital to avoid. I also got a bad experience with them when my baby had a problem with his A-cord drying en the Dr said we have to go for an operation! They even told me to prepare 99k en do it quick before things got worse! I started rushing up with the insurance cover so that they could cover him since the cash was a lot, but before then I decided to seek an opinion from Dr Kaburu of children's clinic in NRB west en in just 1 weeks my son was ok! Yet he was to be operated on according to the Dr at Gertrude!
If u can just avoid it! pole the baby will be ok, in God we trust!

Must be different experiences but to me she has been fine. I am looking for a hospital where i can take my boy for circumsion and it should be pocket friendly.I did ask at gertrudes and the quotation was 30K. Any help offered will be appreciated. Kenya ni yetu sisi sote

This is a very interesting thread, I dont have a kid and I am no doctor, but could nt help note the vitamin A supplements debate. In the UK all kids under 5 are supplemented with vitamins A, C and D. Most of the foods are supplemented with vitamins but they still give their kids these vitamin supplements. #6 In which countries is Augmentin banned? The list of excipients in the drug are: magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycollate, colloidal silica, microcrystalline cellulose, titanium dioxide (E171), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, polyethylene glycol and silicone oil. Where do you get your information?

Am shocked to read this post,My sister is in the healthcare industry and had warned me of the place as it is not run as professionally as it portrays itself to the outside world,but I thought it was just one of those issues where there is a bad story about any hospital,but from the posts here,I don't think narudi huko tena...
