Guys,the share price is only reflecting the fundamentals of the business,I think Safcom is in trouble and their numbers will surely reflect this.

I sold,reluctantly,it was my dream share to become rich,but alas,dreams die first!

My stop loss for SCOM was Ksh. 6.30/=. I saw good profit margins gradually disappear as foreigners rained shares on the market to the gory levels we've seen and locals engage in some serious panic selling. I've sold off at a give-away Ksh. 6.85/= noting the continuous disparity in sell and buy volumes and ease at which sellers alter sale prices. I will speculate elsewhere and re-enter when I believe sellers are most desperate. It's possible I will be able to buy more shares at a lower price.

@the General

The real test is not Micheal leaving safcom. Its Les Bailey. This is the guy whose held the back office engines and processes of safcom. MJ holds the front.

If Les is out,you shareholders are in funk.

Just think why would you leave a 5M salo,cause umeshiba na ati unataka kurelax?

Surely save us from these 'Safaricom' posts. Too much has been discussed. If you want to buy - buy,if you want to sell - Sell. If you want advise look at the past discussions they are more than 100 - Just click more discussions.

Noticed the new safaricom posts are created by pple who joined today or yesterday??

The time value of money is based on the premise that an investor prefers to receive a payment of a fixed amount of money today,rather than an equal amount in the future,all else being equal. In particular,if one received the payment today,one can then earn interest on the money until that specified future date.

So,if you can make 1.50 today ( a 30% return),take profit and run...go to KCB rights,Equity,instead of waiting for Safcom to hit 8/= a year from now.

@ kularaha

i totally agree though some people have a sentimental attachment to safcom. thats why most people will hold and believe that it will hit 8 bob+

This is absolutely interesting.Just take your time and read all the contribution about this subject you will come to realise that most advice we receive from here concerning buying and selling of stocks is useless.No wonder most of us are broke because we take advice from brokers who are themself broke as their name implies.P/E ratio,pundamentals bla bla bure kabisa.

shhhh...don't tell any one I told you this,but I have made quite a packet by reading some of our resident gas bags and doing just the opposite. That is why I no longer criticize the voodoo that goes for stock analysis here.

Otherwise Nicholas Taleb got it right in 'The Black Swan.' You will get better results if you tossed a coin than listen to clueless 'experts.'
