Weka aibu kando, go there and zusha the most you can, insinuate that you may get violent. They will agree to exchange it with a similar one i.e same price ama uongezee chapa for a 'better brand'.

A miser does not necessarily mean that you dont give, to me it means that you watch your pennies so that you have more to give and invest. I wanna be like this guy, ati zusharing for a thermos!!! Afterall a penny saved is a penny earned. Lemme start looking at all the stuff I can zusha for, starting with no more driving in 2012.

spending grows the economy and therefore brings about development. countries where people spend are way far ahead. look at these others why people just sit on money, where are they now? spend but spend wisely (i.e invest + assets)

Unlike @miser I have very good thermos the problem is since the top(or is it lid) is made of plastic they have all given in to the heat ..so they have holes in them that make the thermos malfunction..and oh I forgot mine is the real thermos (the brand) where can I get those lids to replace this worn out tops.

@Miser when you open the thermos flask outer cover the glass has a protrusion, now a good flask have that protrusion protected to avoid cracking it.

I think if you are going to buy the cheap thermos you should open the glass and check if its cracked.

Yesterday(28/12/2011)I bought a thermos flask at Kamindi Supermarkets in Kiambu town only to discover it could not keep water hot through-out;as I found today morning ice-cold water in it!I decided to return it today(29/12/2011)only to be told that,"sorry,we cannot exchange it.After all you bought it at your own risk!"

And just like that my money went down the drain!

Dear Wazuans what options do I have?Sad

BTW. Thermos is a Brand name and they come in good qualities. Are you certain yako ni Thermos?

@miser. there is one (also from china) which is metallic all through. No glass parts, no risk of breakage, and your two year old can play football with it and it will still keep stuff warm. I bought one from some hawker and has worked perfectly ever since. I am not sure they are at the supermarkets though and I think they are a bit expensive.

That said avoid the Kamindis, take the loss and move on
