The askaris will never take anything less than 500 when they are five. They work in multiples of 100 shillings when it comes to dividing the loot. So, giving them unequal amount is like asking them to fight each other especially when most are school dropouts. They cant mentally divide 570 among five askaris to get 114, neither can they manage it on paper. By inference, the man is all that Mr Phantom is not: an untrustworthy radical, divisive, too many enemies, a dictator, and a persistent liar...Gaitho dialogues.
