What is this landing the kachabali way?
I might be landing that way and in my entire past landing life without actually knowing its called so!
Can someone please explain this kachabali landing in layman's language?

Are airplanes(pinetrees) equipped with proper wipers since they will be landing in extreme weather conditions??? (stormy, thunderous rainfall)

@Chemos, airplanes thrive in such conditionssmile

hapa wilson airplanes cannot land kama kunanyesha ama kama kunagiza... fafanua!!!!

By a slight drizzle I meant what Nguata Francis (he of the KBC weather fame) would put as "kunyenza nyenza na kundrinzo ndrinzo" or as someone has put it "fountain" not Moses parting the Red sea. The Kachabali essentially puts the airplane on throttle, even as it ensures that the runway is smooth, albeit slippery and ready for excellent landing.

Dry airports can cause extensive damage to the rear rubber tyres (landing gear). As for giza, every airplane is fitted with a highly complex and sensitive radar system on the nose that can detect the guiding lights on any airport from miles awayApplause Applause Applause

@Magigi, I have actually never attended any Wazua mbuzi and would like to do so when the next one is in the offing, either I read the threads very late (when it has already happened) or I just miss them altogether.

I'm not a pilot, not even close. So out there there must be someone with similar thoughts (but wanaume ni wale wale!)

Have not accessed Wazua since last Thursday so could have even missed this if this thread did not resurface.smile
