DECEMBER 27TH IS A NORMAL WORKING DAY

As per the New Constitution and the Public Holiday’s Act, Tuesday, December 27th will NOT be a public holiday. The day will be a normal working day.

However, December 25th, 26th, 1st and 2nd January, 2012 remain public holidays.

Thanks. At least that issue is now clarified. FKE is not making matters easier by confusing people.

Is this the same Mutua who told us that 27th Dec 2010 was a working day when the law clearly states otherwise? I believe he is wrong again.

December 27th is by virtue of section 4 of the Public Holidays Act a public holiday. Period. Why does the AG let Mutua interpret the law for GoK?

At my desk. Quiet morning, cool cloudy here on the slopes of Mount Kenya.

I have a skeleton staff with me. Asked them to work in shifts.

First lot agreed to remain at their desks between 20th and 24th who then will report on 3rd.

Second lot agreed to take off on 20th and be back at their desk today, 27th until 31st, and then report on 3rd.

Now, 2nd is a public holiday, isn't it?

Mutua confirmed it is a holiday. It seems he is the one to interpret our laws
