Can safaricom and the other heavy hitters like EABL,KQ, and now probably Equity Bank be prone to this curse.

Apparently it is believed that once a company hits this figure it is difficult for it to grow any further so its time to bailout or be contented with the small dividend payouts.

MJ seems to have known this and bailed out at the peak. For this,he was approached by the world bank.
How about the 7percent 'curse'?
Had baks been on top of his game like MJ,he wud have retired at 2007,when we did 7.1
He wud have earned his place in the history books and earning consultancy fees like MJ.
Just picture Obama,Europe n the Chings approaching baks on Econ 101?
Also wondering what would have happened had RAO taken over in 2008 n have to deal with the drought,GFC,PEV n worst of all,a 1.7percent growth in GDP!we wud probably have kicked him out by now through a no confidence vote!

The industry shifted too fast to Safcom's detriment Sad MJ indeed bowed out at the peak.

I'm not aware of this curse. When I ask google it brings up this post.

So, 20B assets, turnover, net? Shillings or dollars or God forbid Zim dollars (do they still exist?)
