Why would they advertise in 2011 if it will come in 2030.

Check DN page 34.

No; No; No. they don't have one.

Only 2 (yes, TWO) Dreamliners are in service; and both belong to the Japanese All Nippon Airways.

All other airlines with orders are waiting for their deliveries.

I think KQ are wasting money advertising on full page every day, just so say the plane is coming for a tour! absolute waste of money, one or 2 adverts would have done. intensified when the plane is actually coming. nkt

I gather that only 2 units have been delivered against 821 confirmed orders. 2030 may be ambitious to have it with KQ colours

@Aguytrying, how sure are you that KQ is paying for the ads? Remember that the dreamliners are running three years late and Boeing had to pull stops to ensure that KQ doesnt revert back to Airbus.

unless there is info contrary to them paying, we can only logically assume it is them paying. But u may have something there, its a tour, why even advertise it. Unless its actually boeing advertising their planes. Still kq sucks

Embraers are not a substitute for the 787s. In the Hub and spoke system that KQ uses, the Embraers feed JKIA and the 787s (or any other large capacity craft) take over from there.

NO. According to the last Annual Report. Says a lot does it not.

The E-170s & E-190s have a limited range (& payload) so would be used for flights < 5 hours. The 787s can be used for flights 12-15 hours (non-stop from Nairobi- Hong Kong).

The Embraers will probably form the backbone for Jambo Air as well as regional flights e.g. Entebbe, Kigali, Juba, etc.

I was very disappointed.....all those adverts in the daily's and we see a Boeing with boeing Livery instead of the national flag!!! why go through all that and yet the first delivery is in 2013 which could be maybe 2030 as noted above!!!
That is why in Africa i always Rate Ethiopian Airlines to any other Airline!
