... and what was the inflation then? It(inflation) never used to be on our power bills! Do we know the formula that ERC applies in determining the max. rates?
The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

As much as I support the two, atwoli should tell us the truth and not say that Fuel in Tanzania is going at Kshs. 63 per litre. I'm in Dar es Salaam and one litre of petrol is going for Kshs.119 and not 63!!!!!!

Where exactly did Atwoli get 63/= from? I thought it cost around 2,000 TZshs

This Atwoli fellow is just a chatter box, just like our politicians, yapping to please the public.

[quote=amga]some one who has experienced the east african market kindly tell us how much fuel is retailing esp tanzania?
seems its far cheaper in tanzania than kenya, what are the underlying factors

The problem is ERC.
It should be disbanded and Kaburu Mwirichia sent to jail for conning Kenyans.

...yeah, right, and then the prices will jump to Sh150...

The ERC pricing formula has really helped; if wasn't in use, we'd have crossed Sh150 a long time ago.

The problem with ERC is that their PR department is asleep!
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
