Kirubi now holds the largest stake in Kenya Power for an individual investor. Its is still under 1% but I hope he does not intend to continue accumulating till he becomes a director at the company.
Wisdom to detect when share prices hit rock bottom.
When interest on bonds keep going up, you know the bear run is on high street. When interest on bonds start leveling, the bear has met the bull and they have hit rock bottom. When the interest rates on bonds start coming down, the bull has overpowered the bear and you better be riding the bull.

He has a long way to go!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Not really. The govt. holds about 51% so 1% of the remaining 49 will definitely get his voice heard.

BBI will solve it

1/49 * 100 = 2.04%

He owns 2.04% of "the rest of the shares". Still not enough to have your way. Not even close!!!

If KPLC had only 100 shareholders in equal share,he would be one of them. Considering GOK's stake, local and foreign institutions, he is doing well...
Life is short. Live passionately.

He is not the larget individual shareholder, he is the largest individual shareholder. Am not Sober but I love the name.

Take it with a light touch.
