Hi people!A few questions:

1.Are current shareholders going to get new certs post split?
2.What is the current average OTC price?
3.Is trading allowed before the listing in 2012?

It's been a long wait for PKoli and the gang, but CIC is now firmly on the road to listing as it picks lead advisers

@heri. I hear you but I'm afraid we'll now have to wait for rights after listing. The issue at hand now is whether we shall be locked out of selling after listing by intro.

CiC will list at NSE by way of intro, and not the expensive IPO.

Very unlikely of being locked out after all this is the reason they are floating it to determine the value at the bourse. My worry is that going this way will not realise the "windfall" i expected....(you know) like one share split 20 times at an ipo price of kshs 9 making a share worth kshs 180! wonder what price it was at OTC last though i remember someone looking for the shares at kshs 75 in wazua.

Was way too undervalued on OTC at 85. In some of yesterdays press releases, revenue had grown from 4.5b to 6.75b(48% growth). Expect profit growth in the same lines. They even claimed they were the 3rd largest insurer in 2010. Lets see where they land now. will not be surprised considering they appear 2nd or at least mainatin that 3rd slot...

I think there was no split for the case of Equity and TCL. Equity did a split later and it worked like magic! Let's wait god see. Info from CIC is normally scarce.

Lock-up will apply for at least COOP bank and other major shareholders like SACCOs.
