some people are just reading from books, armchair investors. Annoying.

Interesting how people are advocating for Tbills. It should be noted that Tbills have an inverse relationship with stock market prices, thus it is highly discouraged to lock your money in Tbills when the market is about to turn around, coz when the bulls come raging, the stock prices will inch upwards and the Tbill rates will eventually lower. In short, all the virtual gains you will have realized will be wiped out coz the stock prices will be substantially higher and the interest rates will be substantially lower. The only time it makes sense if any to get into Tbills is at the height of a bull market in anticipation of a bear!!
Looks like there is alot of traders and speculators.

what is also suprising is individuals think they can trade in this market. By the time they are done stop loss'ing' their will be nothing left in their virtual portfolio.

I like this quote "These days, investing is like sitting in a prison cell awaiting execution" ...you build houses they get demolished, buy land you get conned, buy bonds you get losses, buy stocks at a bargain and they sink lower, import goods and the kenya shillings messes you up

I read this somewhere- If the economic crisis lasts any longer, there will be only 2 banks left:

1. The Sperm bank

2. The Blood bank

Once they merge, the new bank will be called:
THE BLOODY FUC$$$ING BANK!!!

smile Counting the best stocks to pick at this junction are those investing further during the bear run----Scanad, Coop, KenRe, KK, DTK, TCL, NG, Eegaad, Sasini, Kakuzi,EaBL, AK, Mumias, Britak, BBk.
Reason; when the bull start running they will run faster as for now they are busy investing locally and outside.

I dont think there are any hot picks now...secondly it is awkward when you highlight so many companies...my point is predict and wait for the market to confirm your predictions then buy promptly.

So long as the interest rates keep going up, T/Bills(91day) will rule coz of the inverse relationship you've talked about!
The current economic and political environment here in KE are a boon and boom to the bears!
