Energy is one of the key drivers of Vision 2030.Just wondering aloud what the cost of power is for the different areas/regions per kwh?

@Hunderwear. Start by getting to understand the tariffs; Domestic, industrial, street etc

The problem is not lack of water but that of capacity to generate. Remember KP has been connecting almost any1.

I gather that one of the reason we are paying high rates is because of fossil fuel generation. Since our dams got filled up, the rates should be going down. This will reduce fuel imports and with it ease forex demand. WIN WIN

@GGK. Read my post again. If u've one probox and must move thirty pple from Nbi to msa at the same time u must get alternative means to transport the excess. Think capacity not fuel!

I think ggk was implying we should be paying 8.74 shs in fuel levy.

I read your post well. But with much of generation reverting to hydros, Wanjiku expects power tarrif to go down.

As for capacity, I agree with you... we are living precariously just about our generation capacity. We need to increase the so called green sources.

May be the upcoming geothermal(s) will alleviate this at some point. But we get lots of corruption reports on geothermal
