i live on a bare minimum from my earnings and buy a shares every month. I however find shares too easy to liquidate so once or twice a year i buy a plot for speculation. Plots are wonderful since one becomes attached hence its harder to dispose of as opposed to other forms of savings. our goals are best achieved indirectly

20% in NSE-dvds to savings a/c
10% sacco then borrow from to buy plot
60% maintenance
