NSE is the world's 5th WORST performing market. Barely beat out bankrupt Greece!

The choice of words describing the disaster at NSE is quite interesting. One would think the so called advanced economies are the best thing in town!

When high profile reports like this start showing up, smart money is usually snooping around. Let's see what they do next year in March. Remember Le Prof (Ndungu) said by Feb 2012 things will be better...

I'm still amazed that mpesa has refused to let go the 2.90 defense shield... This has been so obvious a guardrail for months. Coop had 14 for months, but I can see it got breached.
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

An investment banker has forecast that the shilling will cross the Sh100 threshold in 2012 if the government does not reduce spending on infrastructure projects.

That IB is called Renaissance... Expert advice esp from IBs and banks since 2008 should be dumped in the trash can. USDKES will eventually stabilize at 100 and life will continue.

The beauty of being down is that there is nowhere to fall further to, you are already there. So you can only one way: up, or just keep rollong but at the same level.

If, and when the NASI goes back to 100, some of us will become paper millionaires for the first time in our lives.

Sorry, but I no longer have faith in the good old professor. He's as good at predicting the market as Harold Camping is at predicting doomsday/days.

BBI will solve it

I am not good in matters economics but isn't this the best time to pick cheap stocks at the NSE?

depends on what you mean by "cheap". True the nse is in a downturn and many stocks are selling at a bargain (below true value) but there are stocks out there that are still "expensive" relative to their intrinsic values.
