I feel so frustrated. I operate two brokerage accounts, one with CFC and one with Dyer and Blair. Everything has been going very well for me especially because I am away from Kenya. My contact persons in these two companies have been very quick to give me feedback on my orders and to respond to my requests. But this appears to have changed recently. First of all I no longer have access to my account with Dyer and Blair after they migrated to the activelite platform which never works from where I am. I have been relying on my contact person to update me on my statement and all. Recently I contacted him and he told me he is no longer with the company. He advised me to use their customer care email but whenever I send them email they dont respond. As for CFC i received a mail from my contact person telling me that he has been moved to a new agency called EKV Securities and he cannot access the CFC email. I had already asked him to purchase for me somes shares of which he told me he had already purchased some but for the others the prices were too high. He promised to send me information regarding the executed orders but one week down the line nothing has happened. Now I fear something fishy may be going on. IS it not my right to know what is happening to my account from these brokers? Each day he promises to send me details of my purchases but he never does so. I am so tired. Who knows what this EKV Securities are and their relationship with CFC? Sad

Well, ur really in big trouble. How about you check with the cds guys...I think they can help. They can even send the statements via email so you will be able to know if there were activities. As for cfc open an online account and you will be able to access your account and you will not need contact person to place orders for you. As for dyer and blair, I dont know what to tell you.

Thank you guys, the money was deposited into my account so I am not worried that it will dissapear. I just want updates on my purchases as they take place. Thanks for giving me the contact of mativo, I will at least have somebody I can email directly especially if i want to make a quick 'sell' order. Thanks all for your concern. But does anybody know what this EKV Securities is?

Anika66 for any clarification whether EKV is part of CFC contact them directly through email on csfs@stanbic.com or call customer care on 020 363 8900/8942. They will be better placed to clarify that. Like Collins advised activelite trader offered by CFC will be the solution to your problem. It is real time when it comes to trading and you will be incharge of your account with access to your statement and portfolio. I use it and vote it the best Online trading platform in the market! Just send an email to ost@stanbic.com and you will be guided on the registration process.

What do the initials EKV stand for Mr Opiyo Okeya?
By inference, the man is all that Mr Phantom is not: an untrustworthy radical, divisive, too many enemies, a dictator, and a persistent liar...

I still feel that doing business directly with CFC Financial Services was more easy than with EKV. My contact at EKV is taking long time to execute my orders coz he says he has to contact somebody in CFC to give instructions on the order etc. So Mr Opiyo why are orders made through EKV taking such a long time to be executed?

Something fishy going on here. CMA needs to investigate before people lose money. EKV sent an email saying they are agent of Dyer and Blair. So which is which? Can they be agents of more than one broker without disclosing.

Where are they getting people's emails from?

Isn't this confidential information that CFC or whichever other broker is supposed to safeguard?!!!
Life is short. Live passionately.

QW2501985:The problem with Dyer and Blair is that if you email them, they don't respond.I'm a customer of D & B, and I emailed your firm recently, but there was no response. As a matter of fact,I contacted wanjiru Gichuru, but it was like talking to a brick wall. And since my CDS account is hosted by other investment banks,I took my business there.Ken Blanchard,in his book--The One Minute Entreprenueur, says that..." if you don't take care of your customers, someone else will...". Like it happened in my case.

My 1st account was with Francis Drummond and I am still with them.
2nd was with Apex Africa - I left.
Third with Dyer and Blair - this is joint with wife and I have been trying to move... Once I sell the stocks, I forget the account.
3rd was with Discount Securities - I left but still chasing approx 6000 with Kingdom Securities.

Dyer and Blair are very unresponsive on email. Do not forget that they fired several staff sometimes in 2011 over fraud.

Knock hard and it will be opened. Ask and you will be answered. Seek and you shall find.

I tried to open an account with DB during the days of Stanbic Ug IPO but gave up when I saw the kind of service. I headed back to my AAKS, who I have been most of my trading life. I also maintain an account with Suntra.
