Thanks Hunderwear.

Bartum et al On the contrary, 2010 PAT rose from Ksh220m to Ksh399m. If this constitutes failure, show what success is.
Its a well run bank that is going places especially with new strategic investor. I prefer a listing in 2013/4 though when it'll already be in Ug/S Sudan

@pkoli sorry about that try shares@familybank.co.ke.Let me knw if you go throug.@bartum can attribute the situation to 1.frustrated shareholdrs who bought in 2006 hopn 2 sel in the Ipo then slated for 2009.2.the fact that demand only comes from current shareholders.3.late 2010 they changed the banking system n replaced with a problematic one that caused alot of delay since then.Am not sure if the problem is rectified nw but i experienced it first hand in feb 2011.Imagne entering the bank at 11 and leaving after 4 after a simple withdrawal trxn.

Liar wa ithaka the price they paid is at least 17 kes a piece and i tel u why.

The share capital during the year increased by 115966000,their share premium increased by 915681000(782748000-1644429000).
Assumption:all the shares issued during the year were issued to AfricInvest.

Waithaka you can now do the maths for us and tell us where you got the 2 bob which happens to be the par value

Profit after tax was 26% lower compared to last year. Reason? Munyiri's salary smile

Expense went up Ksh0.7bn against fairly flat income. Must be all those senior managers they've hired. And the ones they've fired.

Finally the IPO is postponed. No need to tempt a moody Mr Market who's currently courting a bear... Tranny & britank have been nasty victims of the strong grisly mood swing...

i hope KQ can also be wise and postpone the cash call. They would get more support i think. But to 11b at this time? If they can underwrite say half of the 11b, maybe.

KQ needs that money badly and I dont think postponing the Rights is anything in the offer, for now.
